Mac's Speedway
Ivanetz posts a credible 5th placing at Mac's Speedway Mackay. While the boy's were getting into some serious racing in the lead up to the Oval Express Series in December, Ivanetz was not giving anything away as Jamie Korte found out whilst trying an inside pass. I am pleased with 5th as i am getting to like the tight track. We took some time with set up and by the 3rd heat i felt very comfortable with the way the car was performing, as the track was not consistent with traction. Lindsay Hawkins put on a spectacular fireworks display and best of all 15 minutes of metal munching heavy equiptment to rival a transformers demolition. Car carnage was a fantastic alternitave to monster trucks . Kim .

Early Finish at Rockhampton
The first round of the QLD series was declared as the track catch fence was demed by officials to be to damaged after a V8 amcar had wiped out catch fence posts on the start finish area at Rockhampton. Although we managed to weather our own dice with an unfortunate crash for Q6 Tony Frew? as he rode the l/h rear of Q70 Kim Ivanetz on the restart of the 2nd heat. The 4 turn rollover resulted in giving the driver a fractured arm and back/neck injuries. After an anxious wait of 40min he was off to hospital. Shortly after the completion of the 2nd heats of the F500's the am car catch fence damage resulted in the meeting being declared.

mac's speedway
Kim accepted a last minute invatation from mackay f500 club. Racing to a sellout crowd was a highlite of the evening , which was put on to compete with the monster trucks.Although ivanetz struggled in the opening heats with 2 sprockets sustaining broken teeth and subsequent DNF's. The track was very hookey and the crew was for a change making changes to keep the front wheels on the ground.Kim secured 3rd place early in the final all the way to the flag. Thanks to the guys and see you all next race meeting. Kim

STALLARD CHASSIS AND COMPONENTS NATIONALS
Kim and family enjoyed a 5 day camping trip on the way back from the Northern Territory Title to attend the STALLARD CHASSIS AND COMPONENTS NATIONALS held in Maryborough. We asked Glen Underwood to stop by where we were staying to offer some advice on getting the best setup for our Stallard. Thanks Glen!!! The first night of heats had us wondering how many of the vehicles that were on the in field would be able to make a come back on the second nite. But we were not disapointed because i believe there were approx 43 cars nominated. I started to get the hang of the track although racing into the sun is not something i am used to said Ivanetz after the first heat. I am excited to know the event is being held for another 2 years thanks to Steve Caunt and Stallard Australia. The level of competition is definatly something to aspire to and for an event to be held in QLD and attract some of the best drivers in Australia i will be looking foreward to next year's event.
